Summer is in full swing and we’re loving it, but we can’t help but be excited for the fall as we have TWO huge awareness events in September: our Donate Life Golf Tournament on September 9th and the kLaVoy Donate Life 5K Walk and Run on September 23rd!

In 2017, CDT had a record lifesaving year, working with our hospital partners to facilitate 60 organ donors and 109 tissue donors, which resulted in 160 lifesaving organ transplants and several hundred tissue recipients with an improved quality of life.

As we continue to focus on the powerful effect each of us can make as an organ, eye and tissue donor, please keep in mind that all funds raised in 2017, including proceeds from the golf tournament and race, will go directly to CDT programming that supports donor families and community outreach and education initiatives to help make even MORE life possible!

We are in need of volunteers and sponsors for both events! Please email for both volunteer and sponsorship opportunity information.

Information on each event is located below, including links to register! Check it out:

Walk or run with us on September 23rd to help raise awareness about organ & tissue donation and celebrate all heroes of donation!

This year’s race is the same race you know and love from years’ past, with a few new features! Same beautiful location at the Saratoga Spa State Park Warming Hut. The 5K run will be a timed event (course map and timing done by Albany Running Exchange). Packet pick up starts at 7 – the Run/Walk kicks off at 9 am!

It is $25 per person to register and new this year, you will now be able to register as a TEAM for the event, allowing more people to come together and run, walk and celebrate! Together, we can make an even greater impact on our community by promoting your team and the race to encourage our friends and neighbors to make the decision to DONATE LIFE by joining the donor registry.

We invite you to join us in honoring organ, eye and tissue donors and those who died waiting by making or collecting contributions.  As mentioned above, all funds raised from the 2017kLaVoy 5K will go directly to CDT programming that supports donor families and community outreach and education initiatives to help make more life possible.

Absolutely no fundraising minimums are required as an individual or a team, but we encourage you to set a fundraising goal for you and/or your team. Feel free to kick off your philanthropy efforts by making a contribution to yourself and show others that every dollar given helps, big or small! Please click here to visit our fundraising page.

In-kind goods and services are also needed to help us make the day a success! If your business or community organization is interested in making an in-kind donation (such as water for water stations, post-race refreshments, etc.) please let us know.

For questions regarding the race, fundraising or making a contribution, please contact us at or 518-262-5606.
